We launched GIO Architectural Tile & Stone nearly three years ago, with a focus on providing innovative tile and stone products to A&D firms throughout the southeast. While our administration and billing functions are managed in South Carolina, Nashville is home to our design center and warehouse, and we’re excited to announce that we are moving these facilities to 619 Norris Avenue situated in Nashville’s burgeoning Design District off Thompson Lane and near the 100 Oaks area–effective immediately!
We were previously based in the Track One community in Nashville’s revitalized Wedgewood-Houston neighborhood but quickly began to outgrow the space available there. The need for additional warehouse and showroom space necessitated our relocation to Norris Avenue. The move is a reflection of growth not only for GIO as a company, but for the regional tile industry, as well as commercial and residential construction. In our new facility, we’ll have significantly more room to showcase and keep inventory of products. Furthermore, we’re thrilled to be neighbors with other design-based businesses. We’re looking forward to having more exposure and collaboration with designers and architects.
Remodeling has begun and will take place over the next three to four months. Meanwhile, our brave Nashville crew is working out of the space during renovation; it’s a little messy, but it’s fun to watch the transformation!
Our initial plans also include subleasing some office space, preferably to tenants in the design community looking to relocate or open office space adjacent to Sidco Drive in order to be part of the Design District (feel free to contact us if you’re interested, by the way!).
Being a part of the Track One community was ideal for our first studio and design center, and now we’re ready to start the next phase and new chapter of GIO in the heart of Nashville’s central venue of architecture and design.
